Sunrise Serum
Serums help to calm and nourish skin after cleansing and toning. Serums do their best work through pores that have been opened through washing with warm water. Apply to clean, dry skin in the morning upon rising. Play around with what works for you, but a few drops will go a long way! After a serum is applied, it should be left to soak in completely, for at least 15 minutes, before applying a moisturizer over it, (if you choose to do so). You want serums to have maximum contact with skin because they are full of lovely oils that are easily absorbed and rich in all things that skin craves. Sunflower oil is light, high in lecithin and vitamins A, D & E. Its nutrients penetrate deep into the hypodermis and nourish your subcutaneous fat cells. This will aid your body in regeneration and renewal of cells, promoting a healthy glow and more youthful looking skin. Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax that mirrors our skin’s sebum production performance, helping to reduce the clogging of pores from overproduction of natural oils. It is a humectant, which helps attract water to the top layer of skin, maintaining hydration. It helps your skin fight oxidative stress caused by exposure to everyday pollutants. Raspberry Seed oil contains fatty acids, (linoleic acid and alpha linolenic acid), in abundance. It has phytosterols, minerals and vitamins A, C & E. Cranberry Seed oil boosts collagen production and helps skin appear firmer. It contains a unique blend of omega fatty acids (1:1 ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids), naturally occurring vitamin E and phytosterols. Cranberry seed oil is loaded with vitamins A, C, E and K. It has excellent antioxidant activity. It also contains natural SPF. It fights environmental stressors and can help to reduce appearance of age spots and pigmentation. Moringa oil is cleansing, nourishing and nurturing to skin. It helps bring vibrancy back to dull, lifeless skin. It is beneficial in preventing free radical damage and contains monounsaturated fatty acids oleic acid. This all restores the skin barrier and penetrates deeply into tissues (all the way to bone marrow!) to detoxify from pollutants. It is rich in cytokines and zeatin which aids in cellular growth and delays the process of aging by nourishing and supporting the stratum corneum (outermost layer of the epidermis that provides a barrier and regulates permeability between us and the outside world). Black Cumin Seed oil is an extremely nutritive oil. It is full of vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. As an emollient, it brings restoration to skin by softening and soothing.
